Large Scale Central

Hmmmmmmmmm..............they noticed?

Hi all, Apparently “Model Railroader” did a review of the PIKO “G” Taurus and mentioned that it is 1:27 scale. Did they actually measure this time or did they read another review??? Have to drop by the store to see who did the review. That should give some clues!

While you’re reading, a couple more questions:

Did they mention which direction was 1:27? LOL!!

Does this mean PIKO will be supplying 53mm gauge track to go with their ‘new scale’ creation? If not, and assuming it is a model of a standard gauge prototype running on 45mm track, it would much more accurately be described as ‘no specific scale’. Not laughing!!

Happy RRing,

Jerry,

Good one about “which direction”!

The store had the Feb issue already, but I see on the Clambake website that Jim Hediger (senior editor) did the review.
I’ll get it from the Library, sooner or later. Just interested to see what he has to say. Especially how it “scales out”.
Of course it is still a bit of a puzzle why “stuff like that” would be in MR.
