Distractions

Ohhh, to be young again and enjoy the pleasures of the hard cold ground

A short follow up on the new travel trailer.
We spent a few beautiful days at our favorite park this week. Setting up and trying out all the systems on the new rig. Everything worked great and we are really happy with the camper even though it is a lot smaller than our previous trailers.

Indian Mary County park. Over a hundred RV and camp sites and we were one of 3 camps there this week besides the campground hosts. Our site was within site of the Rogue River boat ramp and there were a few Steelhead fishermen launching drift boats but overall it was a beautifully quiet few days.

Just another view looking out from our camp site. The trees are just starting to leaf out.

A couple of views of our camp site.

You can see on the ridge above the truck the results of the Taylor Creek Fire of 2018. This is how close we came to loosing this beautiful campground and park. With the wet winter and mountain snow pack we have had this year hopefully the fire season will be very mild.

That looks beautiful.

Yes Devon it is. It’s one of our favorite spots since we don’t Boondock much anymore.

Another favorite is this one, a great park and location, near Crater Lake, and a bonus of the Logging Museum.
We had reservations in June 2020 but a fire went through the area and they closed it for a couple years.
The damage wasn’t supposed to be all that bad, we will find out in June this year.
