Nice looking loco - Bachmann’s ‘Emily’ is is nearer to the largest of the breed which was the #1003 series - which are quite a bit larger.

I thought that someone makes an aftermarket smokebox front to replace the face for these locos?
Would someone post the aftermarket mgf. for the smokebox fronts?

Your detail upgrade project is very tempting.
Add a string of maroon curved side coaches and that is a very attractive train.
Some of the British locos are very attractive to myself as a Canadian. The key word is some !
The French Orient Express is another beautiful train with the saphire blue sided coaches and gold lettering.
Interesting how the North American and European automobile and train styles differed so drastically.
The MG TA and MG TC cars, the Jaguar Type E car, the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost are far superior in style to any automobile that has ever been produced in North America.
The vast majority of the European cars however are distressing to the eyes!
Same goes for most British and European locomotives.
This is my opinion who has been born and raised in Canada.
No doubt most Europeans have the same opinion in reverse toward North American locomotives and automobiles.
My ancestors came over from France to settle in New France sometime during the 1700’s. So taste is not genetic. Taste is determined by the environment in which you are born.
Maybe Bachmann will later release the loco in an adult version.

Bachmann appears to have a winner as they are selling as fast as they are listed on ebay.

I wrote to Michael, at Smallbrook, about the Emily conversion a couple of months ago, but at that time it was not out yet and he had no measurements. I sent him some when I got mine, but have not heard back yet. Some pictures of the back head were posted here yesterday, might check the other posts. With the good sales this has had, I’m sure someone will jump on it soon. I hope!
Boy that prototype backhead sure is pretty with all the brass and copper fixtures. A far cry from the bleak American loco backheads. EDIT to bring the picture along…
