As I’ll have about a 40 foot run along the back fence, I’d like to place a few buildings along the way. Seems to me that building fronts, maybe with an inch or so of side wall and roof, would be a good way to go. I’ve seen suggestions of printing, and sure, maybe, but is there a source of g scale appropriate fronts? Or must I either dissect other buildings or make myself?

Colorado Model Structures has whole buildings and fronts. I’ve used both on mine. fronts, backs.

That looks like a great start, and the brick storefront will be nice for modelling the brick Armory on Angel Island. Dates from the Civil war and placed at quite a distance from the other buildings!
