Just got the baseball figures from Just Plain Folk. They come 2 to a pack and are not secured in the package. They got banged around so hard in the package that the batter’s head broke off. Good thing it was a clean break as I was able to glue it back on. Regards, Dennis.

Ouch, sure must have been a high fastball.

But not as bad as what happened to our pitcher figure. Some animal took ours. Guessing a pack rat. We eventually picked up another pitcher at a train show. I don’t leave them outside overnight anymore.

Thort they had gone out of business. They don’t respond to e-mail these last few months…leastways, not to us furriners.

E-mails - whats that? The new thing is tex messaging and the droid. E-mail is old school now. LOL

Here on the river bank where we live, the pace of life is a whole lot slower than you fast-laners over there. Even electricity is slow here - a lamp takes maybe five minutes to begin to glow somewhat - for those lucky enuff to have the stuff, that is.

We, of course, can’t afford that kind of stuff, and of course, this being UK, even sunlight is taxed. The result is that we live in a semi-gloom, shivering as we huddle around the smouldering twig, reliant on passing mendicant paupers for a small hand-out.

Still, we mustn’t complain, eh?

There is, after all, a complaint tax, too.

Here in beautiful Deer Park, electricity gets delivered by donkey express, once a week whether we need it or not. We don’t even try to burn 'lectric lamps, 'cause the guy who rides the donkey is getting on in years and we don’t want to tax him too much. The gummint takes care of that for us.

Air conditioning is provided by the farmhand we don’t have, blowing through the keyhole once an hour.
