That is an amazing building. The level of detail on the weathering is brilliant.

Nice train, I was speaking in jest as your model took my words away. Exquisite it is.

Speechless…

hi, Jaime.

welcome here!

if you want these guys here to run around with dropped jaws for a whole month, show them your other buildings!

Jaime, you asked somewhere else : What is the MIK challenge??

it is a friendly anually modelling competition, with limited time and limited material costs.

MIK, (dead for half a decade now) founded it.

he was famous for taking any junk and some glue and converting it into beleivable buildings.

Many thanks Korm

First, sorry for my limited english… I have been enjoying building construccion for two or three years. How you know, in the market is very limited the stock for the large scale.
I use foam, wall repair filler, enamel, acrylics colours and pigments.

I can not upload images, but here a YouTube link with the step by step of the a signal box

Thanks Bill

I would have no problem for this gentleman to compete," I would know when I am beat, I would just lay the fiddle down at Johnny’s feet"

Just in case that Huhhhh some people (Charlie Daniels the devil Went down to Georgia)

I have no problem getting beat by a better modeler. Hope to learn from it.

I have seen this guys models before on the web, He is Goooood, I like to model that way, but i like getting done with one and move on

to another project more. There is a fine line of learning where to stop because who will notice it, besides yourself. A person can spend an enormous amount of time

on something and in G scale setting outside almost no one else will notice the expertise modeling. Most people will not look more than 10-30 seconds at a model

unless it is at waist to eye level, and that has to be with in 2 ft of them, in this scale that is far and few between.

That is another reason I have tall concrete mountains, gets everything off the ground for a reason.

Dennis

Dennis, I don’t know but from your MIK I would say you are right up there, great job especially I think you showed just about every building material there is on your build, thanks

Welcome Jaime!

Hi Jaime,

I for one am going to love having you hang around here. After seeing the first building and then watching your videos and understanding that you use everyday materiels, I look forward to learning alot from you.

All are welcome. Period

I love rubbing elbows with true craftsmen, I am merely an artist trying to represent my memories and wishes.

I cherish the MIK and it’s folk art roots, he walked the fine line of not too much info and just enough for your mind’s eye to fill in the blanks.

Too quickly my environment soured me on Fine scale, no fun watching storms demolish dreams built. Even stone and cement cracks…

Jamie’s works are protected and I applaud him for sharing his skills with us.

Thanks Bill for the introduction.
