Has anyone any experience with the RCS’s ALPHA-3 receiver being installed in a brass tender?

How much is the range of the reception cut down and is there any effect if the antenna comes in

contact with the brass shell?

Hi Rick.

I did just that once or twice when I was handling them.

The short antenna was up against the metal shell.

I did not notice a drop in range compared to a plastic bodied loco.

The version # 2 was more user friendly than version # 1. Lighting outputs and sound triggers were easier to wire up.
