Martin - I purchased Saleae’s 8 channel unit several years ago - works very well and the software is excellent.
I also stumbled upon an alternative that works equally well for less than $10.00 - see:

This is not a tool that everyone needs but if you are trying to debug a digital circuit it is invaluable
