Large Scale Central

First of many more to come.

There is only so much one can expect from the manufacturers, even those who produce scale models. In this case KISS and their RhB Centre Entrance coaches. Two colours for the interior, beige and brown. Hmmm, a bit drab.

No problem, add whatever will make the car look more like the real thing. Seats in the non-smoking section are upholstered in green, red in the smoking section. The arm rests are black, the seats have a chrome plated frame. Small table below the windows, a trash can below that.

Pictures to follow once I put the last luggage rack in place i.e. tomorrow morning in natural light.

Good old natural light, beats the hell out of fluorescent …

No pictures, then it didn’t happen. eh Hans?

Yeah, yeah …

Yep, it never happened; I also replaced the bottle openers with Kadee1833 couplers, put extra struts in the trucks — so the wheels won’t pop out in hot weather. There was also a mention that the roof has a tendency to pop in hot weather, I’ll fix that when it actually happens.

BTW the LGB cars (the ones that are being lengthened to proto conformance) will require all the extra paint etc. too.

Nice work - about the same as needed to the Newqida cars to make them into Hungarian items from the Puszta NGR in Eastern Hungary now running on the Welshpool & Llanfair Rwy in mide-Wales.

One difference, however, is that you didn’t have to install 258 slats to the wooden seats…

True, but I’ll get my fill when designing and building the interiors for the heavy weights - 4 cars in A, AB and B config.

No rest for the wicked.
