I finished my RC install of my Bachmann Davenport. I used a RX65 receiver, available from RCS-RC and Del Tang, a Turningy 11.1v battery.

I first added a “floor” in the hood where the circuit board was, which will cover the motor and future speaker.

I used a radio shack push button on/off glued to the bottom of the stack

I also installed accucraft couplers

Phoenix eventually. That may be next years project as I’ll have two other locomotives to equipp also, plus a programming cable and Windows so I can run it on a Mac. I’ve already exceeded my RR’s budget for the year and I don’t even own any track. I’ll be relying running on other’s RRs. I’ll have to clean things up for the sound system, shorten wires and such, but I think I can make it fit.

I like the chevrons on the loco. Did you paint them or did it come that way?

Patrick, you could run that nice little loco on my railroad anytime.

Some of them come with the chevrons. My black one has them but my yellow one does not.

The painting is stock. I ordered the black one but TW said it was out of stock. It still shows on the web page though. I’m happy with the silver, may change the paint scheme someday, but no plans right now.
