    I have been searching for a template to use to build a trestle bridge, the only thing I have found is references to the cabbage patch railway. The site I keep getting directed to appears to not be there anymore. Does anybody have or can direct me to a pdf template that I can use, the scale is 1:20.3. Thanks in advance

    While messing around with things Pullman (in the process of my little bathroom decor project), I've come across a couple of resources of Pullman artwork that might be useful to others. First off, if you want to print and frame some of the old big-page ads, the Pullman State Historic Site has tons -- in high res. They also have many other Pullman artifact collections to browse.     Uncropped,unedited,but it must be an image from developed film ......you can do scanned pics of the pics you have or however you prefer to load images of your RR back in the day. You must show the picture parameters like you are flipping through an album. Any takers ?

    Our local live steam group had our last run on the 2019 season yesterday at a train show in Indianapolis. I took a short video of my Pearse Welshpool & LLanfair Earl with prototypically correct mixed train and my friends Roundhouse quarry Hunslet Lilla, also with a prototype consist other than the "bunny" drumming away at the rear.     The big Largescale Operations of the year is the next event on the BS calendar. This is always the biggest event of the year and the temperatures, historically, have been the best. Its less than a month until everyone is gathering at the Clarke's and I guess it would be nice to see a head count of who is coming. Jan and I plan to be there, and we hope others interested in this part of the hobby, can beg an invitation from Andy and Jane. Its always a great time.

    I have created a route in JMRI that I call the West Willow Turn. It departs from West Willow Hill and works all industry spots going East to the yard at Tyrone, then goes back working all the same industry spots Westbound. JMRI likes the route just fine and builds a train with enough work to keep me busy for over an hour on my small indoor layout. The problem I am having is available space on sidings.     The majority of my construction projects have mostly been getting the Outside layout working. Any work on the inside was basically done to make the freight yard for the outside operations.. Since the weather has turned cold, efforts have been spent on working out the track plan for the upper level inside portion of my layout..     I've posted an article on my 3rd reincarnation of the RGS garden layout. This is the first installment and show the progress made so far. This plans on being a multi-year affair and as more progress is made updates will be added. It's also something that been in the planning stages for a couple of years, but that's covered in the article.     OK....A few mods(which I call easy) that can be done too these cars that make them look a bit better. As Tim Brien stated in another thread these cars are really good looking and well made right out of the box. One of the issues I didn't like was the clear marker lights on the end of the cars as they should be red. This is an easy fix as you just slide the doors open and remove the clear plastic sprue. I then just dabbed some red paint on the back of the sprue and reinserted it. This makes for v...

    I was replacing the drive train in a Delton Doozie as the original had a slipping worm. When I got it apart and took a wheel off, I found a little hex head screw holding the gearbox together. In this case it had loosened, so a quick tightening with a micro hex screwdriver and it seems right as rain! Anyone need a spare Doozie gearbox?

I've generally used their (cheapest) SLS nylon, because it's... cheap. Not fantastic detail, but very rugged, and the build volumes are large. I don't use FDM much, because my machine no workie, and the SLS doesn't have the layered effect.     For the new year I decided to find out just how well figures will hold up in a hostile climate. Or possibly I just like to torture figures.... Since New Mexico has some of the highest background radiation and UV levels in the country I would say that most of you should get as good or better results than this from your people.     I've been playing with Airwire a bit in my spare time and I've come across a very cheap way to build an Airwire compatible receiver. It will drive any large scale DCC decoder using battery power. No programming, just hookup a few modules that you can get from Ebay and Amazon and it works.     Aloha, Because I cannot have enough projects, especially those involving defunct LGB battery powered m2075, I thought I'd start a new - hopefully easier - one. In essence, the IR controller, on crew's LGB battery-operated m2075 no longer works. As the sound card failed much earlier, my plan is to rip the whole thing out and replace it with a DPDT switch and manual speed controller. - - Back in sunny Florida, and running rights have been established on Jack's Calusa Creek RR. I was testing the MyLocosoud board. The chuff is voltage driven and the power truck is a Piko with big flanges, so any time it gets stuck on a frog or other track irregularity I have to increase the voltage, so the shuff speeds up even if the loco doesn't!

- - Hey folks I havent done an update for a while, and I know there are some issues hanging as far as bugs, etc. The company that provides the software I run LSC on has been doing a major re-write of the software. They are adding more security and spam prevention (Oh boy do I get spam), and a bunch of new features.
