Need a second or third opinion on how some of “the stuff” stacks up?
The German language GARTENBAHNprofi http://www.gartenbahnprofi.de has regular reviews on NorthAmerican stuff, from dinky little “Ida” (Accucraft live steam) to the large monster Diesels.
Which would do most of the LSCers not much good, except you can get a translation of the mag at http://www.easternmountainmodels.com
pick the English version, then “Services”, then “GARTENBAHNprofi” to get to the PDFs.
At present we’re working on GBp2/04 and, having had some feedback, this issue will be translated in its entirety.
I’m also considering adding a TOC to the list. No, no, nothing to do with our friend Dave Goodson :-), rather a Table of Contents to make finding certain subjects a bit easier.

Hope that helps; as they say never hurts to get a second opinion, even if it isn’t medical.
