Mailbox Project

In 2002 when we went to our first ECLSTS in York, we shopped in Lancaster and I bought a mailbox that looked like a caboose with cupola. Well, here’s what it looked like when I finally decided it needed replacing:

The cupola and the door had already been removed.

I had a contractor do some trim replacement around windows. He used PVC. So I figured I could use that, and never have to replace this again!

I reused the metal roof and the cupola metal roof. The knob for the door was something my wife had given me that she forgot to put in my Christmas stocking. I thought this was the perfect use for it.

I still want to add a number (still too cold to stick on) and a front platform. You can’t tell from this picture, but there is a rear platform.

That looks great, Lou!

Nice save!

Very nice Lou I like that.
