This Featherbedding is getting out of hand

Hi Folks;

Back in the 1960s railroad management referred to union rules that inhibited productivity as “Featherbedding.” Over the holidays, our younger daughter snapped this photo of our mostly Maine Coon cat, Ruby, taking a nap in what seemed to be a rather uncomfortable spot. I suppose, just like firemen for diesel locomotives, this photo shows an example of Featherbedding.

Best, David Meashey

Ruby is a beautiful feline, David. If she is anything like our Maine Coon, Mr. Paws, she is a very cool cat. Now, how do you know she wasn’t doing her job and inspecting the underside of the car as it passed (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Dan;

Thanks for the thought, but the train had not moved for hours and Ruby had stayed in that spot for quite some time. When she does want to move, however, she can go at a good clip.

Have fun, David Meashey
