I actually came here to post an update. I’m pulling out a bunch of non-essential features that seem to be causing slowness issues on various parts of the site. This is one of them (and some message and notification tweaks that you guys probably wont notice). But the various landing pages for parts of the site will be in flux for the next week or so as I try and figure out whats going on.
Bob, you can’t do that! Rooster will jump into a hot pan full of curry … or apply for a job at KFC!

hmmm…, Fred, do you really think, it would have had been preferable, to have had a daily post count like mls?
from my point of view, without the childish jests, the banter and the poultry posts this forum would have been a very silent place during this summer.
why do you think, that the “other forum” in england is thriving? - i say, because they prefer fun to spellchecks.
All I know is this: I’m grateful for this site and anything Bob McCown does with it is 100% a-okay with me.
p.s. okay, okay, one exception: please don’t bring back the all-white backgrounds on the posts…the glare was killing me!!
great deletion! I think Rooster was out to prove the post counts, and to a certain degree the ranking of thanked were really open to abuse. (noticed he posted up until he tied Jon Radder for the top, and then matched post counts with him post for post?) (actually thanks Rooster!)
For those of us who do use smaller screens sometimes, the less “junk” on the screen translates to faster page refreshes and operation.
I’d rather the site was silent if there was nothing train related than to go to a thread and find a nonsense post on an otherwise informative and helpfule thread.

Most of them are useless posts Friar, Padre, Father or what ever “Nickname” you prefer? Perhaps we can get back to a Large Scale modeling forum that “still” exists and we are “Blessed” with that has not been ruined from others that have crossed the borders from the ones that are now gone?

Perhaps this is a project for the internet experts Vic?
I would like to nominate someone in the Ontario region within a 50 mile radii (not diameter) since that is a hub for internet travel on the east coast .
Perhaps when the solution is found they can hopefully upload them to Greg’s website (with permission) so the instructions will stand and not be molested.
