Large Scale Central

Videos from your layouts ?

I found this video when I was cleaning up my computer …

Lets " TRY " to post some short videos from your layouts… ( yes …this is a test/challenge )

I’ll start with this one.

I have a link to one. I just hope it will let you view it. A ride around the mainline behind my Southern Pacific kitbashed GS1 northern with a couple private heavyweight cars. I will use the GS1 to pull a string of USA heavyweights when they are released. We did this video awhile back just to test a friends Go Pro.

Paul’s video

Yeah, if people are logged in with https, you have to modify the post’s link to the video to https

I guess I still don’t have the hang of embedding it.

But you posted both on the http side, so your posts are empty on the secure side…

Come to the secure side, we have cookies supplied by Bob!

Hmmm It looks fine here…

I do believe the s is there when I posted them …

You get same cookies with or without https… difference is https is “secure” (the S)… encrypted data between you and the web site…

the cookie announcement was mandated by new laws… nothing changed, just had to inform users…

A short video of the dedication of the mining district on my old railroad.

I don’t think it has been seen too often.

Most of mine are snow plowing. I don’t have much of my Fn3 stuff, but this one of 1:29 stuff before I sold most of it off…

A New Haven New Year on the Candlewood Valley Scenic Railway from Jon Radder on Vimeo.

Edit to add: Acutually, this exact train is all the 1:29 equipment I have now. Chessy Sound Car has been gutted and it’s innards donated to Fn3 projects so it’s track power only now and I gots none.

Awesome railroad and awesome video Paul. Thanks for posting.

Now just imagine (with your acreage up there:)), riding behind a 4-8-4 live steamer at 2000 pounds pulling a couple of Railroad Supply heavyweights. Just increase your 1/29 layout by about 3.66 times! Just a little “hint”. Your tunnel heights and bridge heights would probably have to be increased though.

Video is now over 4 years old and there have been several additions. Seven trains (waiting for each other as necessary), the aerial tramway, and several animated features are running themselves without intervention using “simple” track power.
