Trolley Control

what is a good control for a trolley? There was one called Trackman i think that ran the trolley back and forth, but not sure if it is still around. Large scale people lost so many vendors during the last recession.

Del has critter controls with slow braking to protect gears…

I can also speak for RailBoss4 plus, it works great for my battery powered trains.

I think you are looking for an automated reverser, and one that slows down and then reverses has proven to be much better than one that just abruptly stops or reverses.

You need the “S” in the http://url

I am looking for a control that you turn on an the trolley just runs back and forth by itself until it is cutoff.

I guess I’m the only one that read what you wanted? (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Ron - if you are interested in making your own I have ported the original BARC (that ran on a PIC processor) to an Arduino - it is very capable giving slow starts & stops as well as an unlimited number of station stops.

Details are here

Has controlled starts and stops …

Dave, sorry for putting up your older one!

John good call, forgot about the reed switch option… Ron did not specify track or battery power.

Greg

It will be track power. only stops will be at each end. Is there anything special at each end for it to reverse?

Most track powered ones use insulated sections with a diode bridging the gap. Click the link on Daves post.
