RC Rockcrawling and Shortcourse Racing

I’ve got a couple Rc rock crawlers that I’ve built up from available parts at the local hobbyshop. Basically they are Axial SCX-10 chassis’, axles, and electrics.

The shortcourse racers are a Helion Dominus, 2 ECX, and 1 of those rock crawlers is also a Desert Truck, with the wider Wraith axles. There use to be an RC raceway here in my town, just a few blocks from the house, but there must not have been enough local guys interested, because they only lasted a couple years. So now the closest track is 15 miles away.

Sweet. I have a couple of RTR monsters that my grandsons and I beat up.

Good fun.

Cool! R/C rock crawling, to me, is more appealing than racing 'em. Would be neat to mount a little camera on one of them, too.

On RCCrawler.com, there are guys that have mounted the gopro’s for that FPV crawling. One that comes to mind is a 1/6 Jeep made by the user Zoso, make you feel like you’re right there, not much different than FPV on a loco, but bumpier.

That’s cool. There’s a company here in the states, RC4WD that sells construction vehicles, Heavy Machinery. they have a 1/14 Cat dozer, around $3200, 1/14 Excavator $2700, 1/14 wheel loader $3100, and a 1/12 excavator that’s on sale at $1550, all RC
