Nice 'Stang Bill! thats the one Ford product I would buy. I am pretty much a dedicated Mopar guy, but the Mustangs are just cool!

I like my '65 practically perfect Pony. No, this is not mine, but a look-alike.

That’s a beauty Steve !

None prettier than a black one

Bill

good lookin “Stang”. I once owned a ‘69’ ragtop, sorry no pics.

That’s an Iron Pony not an Iron Horse (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

That’s “Dark Ivy Green,” not black. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Steve et all,

I had exactly that same color '65 Pony, 289 with 3-speed, aftermarket alloys with raised-letter Goodyears. Bought it in Dearborn, Michigan in Fall of 1964 and sold it in March of '68 after I bought my Porsche. Like the 1959 Roman Red Corvette with white coves that I had owned years before the Mustang came along, I sold the Ford for way too cheap–$1,800 I think–which makes me want to shoot myself (again) when I see what these cars sell for today. The Vette also was sold in 1962, for pennies on the dollar and that really hurts. Fortunately, I haven’t sold, nor will I ever sell, my Por-sh.

I bought my 65 Mustang in 1971 as cheap transportation in college. I paid $400.00 for it, as it had been abused. I still have it, and often drive it. Best $400 bucks I ever spent.

I had a 65 Fastback I got right out of college, kept it for 30 years. Helped both my boys restore their 66 and 67. One still has his 67, guess he’ll get it going again when the kids get older. I like my 63 1/2 Galaxie I restored. Drive it a lot.

Bought a 1966 2+ 2 fastback, pony interior. Red with white leather interior in 1972 - wasn’t even old enough to drive it yet. Kick myself for trading it in 78 for a Opel GT that I restored. Blew the engine in it twice and decided it was time for the Opel to go. Drove boring stuff for a few years then bought a 1980 280ZX turbo. Drove that one into the ground, but oh what fun it was! Now I only have boring stuff except my motorcycle which I don’t dare tell the wife how fast it will go…

I hate you all.

I wish cars today were nearly as cool as those, and the same price.

Terry

Steve, if you’re ever gonna give it away please remember you’re dear friend Terry Burr in oHIo.

Sorry, Terry, my daughter has dibs on it. She says she can’t wait. I wonder what that means? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
