I usually hit it with the leaf blower to clean out the switches and get the bigger pieces of timber out of the way.

If you want a new leaf blower I just purchased the Ego 650, it top air speed is 180 mph. You can not only blow leaves it will completely remove the track and everything else on the railroad if you don't run it at its slower speeds. Other then that, I love it, it's a rebuilding tool if you want to change your layout to a different design.

    • It needed a new battery. The old one was about 15 years old and wouldn't hold a charge anymore.

What the hell is an amtrak??????????????

Well, I suspect that if we REALLY modeled Amtrak, we would need to have much rougher track and take much longer for an operations session.   You would not be allowed to clear the track until the ops session started.

      Perfect for KOPS !

      See you there !

    • We just got the issue today!  The boys were so excited, they immediately took to the lanai to crack on some projects!  We are taking this as a "coming of age moment."  I will see if I can find an old photo of what that corner used to look like!

    • Mahalo (Thanks) everyone!  Renee at GR shocked me with her e-mail the Triple O made the cut, and the "crew" is justifiably proud of our accomplishment.  There is little in that picture that doesn't have one or more sets of their hands in it!  There are a couple projects in that picture I hashed out on these pages, too.

I will admit to being saddened our little railroad made it just in time for the sunset issue of the magazine, but I am glad we got to be a part of this last chapter of its 40 year history.
