I’ve been wanting to see how long of a train can be ran on the layout ever since the expansion was finished. I still have a few more cars I can add to the train and will try that next time. The train had 4 dash 9’s running at full throttle for about 30 minutes or so. You can see the engines and cars “dancing” around on the track at that speed. At a scale speed it looks more realistic. Anyway, after that I took a few of the “fragile” cars off and put them up. Then I just let the train run at a scale speed while I washed and waxed my wife’s car. Little did I know, people would be stopping by. I pretty much spent the late afternoon giving layout tours. hahaha.
Eventually I will have the rest of my fence put up. But that is going to change how the trains look coming through the long sweeping curves. I have a couple good friends coming over to run trains soon, and I’d like to see them run before I put the fence up. After that, I’ll get the fence up and I have a few ideas to change things up there too.
