Large Scale Central

Possible Project

Wanting to make a rail truck for passenger service on my RR. Planning on it being a rigid frame similar to Goose #2

I have a Bachmann rail truck which i robbed the rear axle out of. And I purchased a LGB passenger car for a good price for the body.

What do you think? Good candidates for the bash? Or the unwarranted destruction of a piece of LGB?

They sure are!

Chris, LGB isn’t made of gold. Even though some folks price it that way. So I say gopher it.

You are right about that David. Check this fool out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ITEM-NO-LONGER-AVAILABLE-LGB-3063-Passenger-Car-with-Original-Box/273309058076?epid=663175176&hash=item3fa27d441c:g:ILIAAOSwJ7dbKV3J

That is the same car i just bought, for $40.

Chris great idea and if you desire, you could shorten the passenger car , but I know it will work.

Chris, I have a LGB 3064 car that I cut the end off of and was going to make it into a observation car, have the body, sub frame and the roof and maybe some seats that I would be willing to let go for $15.00 + actual usps shipping if you are interested. Email is [email protected]3064 car

But he’ll sell it for 24 easy payments of $49… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-money-mouth.gif)

Fun project Chris, I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Seesh. Maybe I should start ebaying my unwanted trains for unrealistic prices like that. I would only have to sell a few to make a real difference to my bank account.

Cool. Our B’mann railtruck failed after a month. B’mann replaced it with their 2-4-2, as they had discontinued the model. Seems we got a lemon of an otherwise popular and reliable model.
