Large Scale Central

7/8 scale boxcab

A friend gave me an Aristocraft Eggliner. Perfect bashing fodder. All I needed was the frame and motor block.

Smart looking unit !

That works! And I really like the red headlight casing.

Sharp!

Dam, That looks good.

That little bit larger scale really lets the detail show!

Here she is in the build stage with a 7/8 box car I built. I wanted to see how the size compared.

No part of me would see “eggliner” and think “box cab.” I am as impressed by the creativity as I am by the craftsmanship.

Nice job. Ozark has a similar 1:20.3 boxcab which I have been drooling over . .

Another great project, John… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Love the “funkiness” of the set… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

I like the “low ride”.

That’s what I have thought about building one of the Eggliners into! Nice job!

Great job. 7/8’s is so cool. I dare not even consider it.

I only have one through truss bridge to replace on the layout. The other one has 1/2" of clearance on all sides. Lucked out there. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

The replacement is a deck bridge that I’m moving from an abandoned section of the layout.

Now my buildings are all out of scale…

Great looking critters!

When I upscaled to 7/8th I did have two bridges to change, but basically kept most of my 1:20 buildings in the background. I have slowly built new 7/8th stations and stuff which reside next to the track. Of course you can just run your 7/8th stuff and not worry about the scale of the buildings.

Sa-weet!

Awesome build! Can’t even tell its an eggliner looking at it.

Oldest Daughter has deemed this creation “cute.”
