      Milwaukee Skytop Lounge bash

      I love the Skytop's windows, but trying to make that defeated me. Luckily I found a guy to print it off for me. Was real hard to do but he did a nice job. Would have been better, if my measurements would have been more accurate. Will use flat glass, recesses inside as you see on the outside. Won't be a real accurate car, but will have the cool windows, so that is good enough for me.

      Spliced two Great Trains cars together and trimmed the back down and underneath(still all rough in this pix). Using MTH passenger trucks, this is 1/32 to fit in with my other MTH trains. UP paint was on them at one time, so will be doing that. LONG ways to go but lots of winter left!

      Fun project, should keep you busy most of the winter.

      Nice looking start Jerry. I like those open observation cars too. hope you'll be able to fit it on without having to reprint it.

      That's definitely going to be a "You're not gonna find one of these in every back yard!" project.

      Print was done by Jason Hatala, you can contact him through his web site   https://clutchform.com  Nice guy.   I'm sure he can adjust the print to your needs.

      In the latest Classic Trains, there is a picture inside a sky lounge looking out the rear windows. Shows the partitions between each window and windshield wipers on the outside. I wouldn't buy the mag for that picture, but if you get it, it's good to see.

      Thanks John, could not find that magazine here in town. Maybe I can look in Wichita when I get down there. Could you take a pix of it and send that to me, just in case?  Appreciate it.   Jerry    juking @ atcjet.net

      May take a day or two, my mean older sister* is making me clean! She has a point, my health will soon suffer the cure and blah blah blah Clearing off the printer/scanner is low on my list...

      * love her dearly.

      John, I found a lot of pictures online, so I think they will do me, no need to clean off your scanner.

      I dunno. Mr Bean looks quite relaxed there in the center.

      That guy trying his pick up line looks like he is going to be drinking alone.

      Why the heck are those people on the left reading when they are in that car?

      Jerry, great looking project.  Will love to see it when it's finished.  You do take on challenging projects.  Have a happy holiday season and stay well and warm!
