Amtrak and wildfire.

Whoa, what else can ya say.
"Tip-toeing toward the MP 387.9 grade crossing, with an XH to have its train’s conductor come out and flag due to power outages, Amtrak 769 crawls through Faira Beach as the front of the Thomas Fire eats the dry vegetation above US 101 in the background. "

That’s nothing, we have wildfires here in San Diego, went from 50 acres this morning to 3500 this evening, marching due west, so will get to the BNSF mainline on the coast soon, as it goes through Camp Pendelton.

Should have some good pictures tomorrow.

Whoa indeed, Forrest, especially when it’s on or near one’s own land or property.

Does the F59 run into the fire ?

You also have protests and marches that go that way as well.

Though I was born and lived the first some years of my life in San Diego County I now live in a midwestern riverbank burg and only have contact with the area via a few friends on the web.
