The Winner of the

BEST USE OF TIN

Award

Goes to...........................................Dave Taylor

He wouldn't let us vote on his build (which I personally would have voted for first prize) but by posting on the Final Photo Entrant thread made himself officially eligible for an Award, which in this case is an ink drawing, medallion, and map of the Colorado & Southern, all double-matted and oak-framed with glass.

First Timers Award

OK So I guess its time to reveal the best first timers award. What a tough choice. I may not have ranked him in my top three and I did rank another first timer in that group based on my personal grading criteria, but for this award I am giving it to Daktah John for the Wall Station Platform. The detail on this thing rocked. I mean the creative way he got all that architectural pizzazz in there with all the little repetitious fiddly bits just made it a great build.

So John PM me and we will work on a set of metal trucks. I have a mold already for a set of wood bolster arch bars but I am open for making something else. Let me know what era and scale or particular design and we will go from there.

Almost forgot today was the announcement of the winners…Again this was a really hard decision. You guys all did a awesome job on the builds. This years scale wood bundle goes to…John Passaro’s “Yankee Girl Mine”. For “The best Use of Wood” prize… Pm me John to work out the details…

Thank You John.P… BUT Please pass it along to the next in line.

Random Drawing Figure Awards.

Names have been scribbled on note pads and drawings held. The winners are:

Category 1: Participated in the build - Randy Lehrian … Alan “Mik, Just Mik” Bupp figure

Category 2: Voted in the challenge - Devon Sinsley … Bob “Benevolent Dictator” McCown figure

Category 3: Organizes the annual challenge - Dave Taylor … Dave “Tin Man” Taylor figure

Congratulations to all the participants and to the winners listed above. Randy and Devon please message me with your mailing address. Dave I already got yours so just accept graciously or I will have to send it to Larry and have him sneak it onto your layout.

Wow Boomer! I’m both excited and very honored to win this prestigious award. To have Mik/ Alan on my layout will be truly fantastic. I’ll make sure he always has a good home. I’ll get a pm out to you. Thanks again!

Where will I put Bob? Thanks Boomer.

Nice. Congrats to the real winners, which is really everyone who participated, including those who voted.
