This week I received my Kadde #1 uncouplers and used the Zimo MX642 in the LGB rail truck.

Works great and the MX642 can control 2 servos.

Also, I am working on a G remote Kadee in my 2-4-0 tender for uincoupling.

It is very important to program the decoder first before wiring the uncoupler in place as the default decoder settings will ‘spin’ the arm and break the chain. Yes, how do I now know this…guess… I did a test setup on the MX645 at my bench before doing the rail truck.

CV settings needed with function 6 to activate.

Purpose CV Value

Uncouple time 115 5

Auto Uncouple 116 155

Servo address 132 48

direction 161 0= neg pulse

left stop 162 100

right stop 163 210

mid point 164 127

speed 165 10

Function key 181 6

I need to try these values on different Zimo decoders.
