'The West Virginia & Kentucky Narrow Gauge V 3.0' by Bart Salmons
NOVEMBER, 2007
The week after Thanksgiving, we moved into a new house, this one ALL OURS with a HUGE YARD for building a railroad in. The first order of business was getting the railroad moved. Seriously! All the Railroad and Shop equipment was on the premesis before moving of the household goods started, don't y'all wish you could pull that one off?

So I loaded it all up and moved! Nice to own a pickup truck. The new site as seen above has LOTS of space, the real trick will be keepingit manageable as far as maintenance is concerned.

The layout sections arrived safe and sound. I didn't really have a layout plan at this point, so I just sorta put them out of the way. After they were out of the way though, things sort of started coming together. This section of yard is in its THIRD incarnation of the railroad. The rickity old white building needs to go, but not before the move.

So now with a good idea what I wanted, at least to start with I was able to do some plotting and planning. And with that, hired a wrecker to move The Old Shop in.
