Well.......since everyone else is building a boxcar.......

I thought I might take a crack at it, specially since I've had the goodies to build it with stashed since this time last year!  ITs based on an EBT steelboxcar, yet gauged to run on my 7/8 scale Railroad, in otherwords......ITS BIG!!!!

So far its just a plywood frame with bolsters and some detail added, and luan subframes on the side.  More to come....

To be honest, ain't enough time in a day.............

got 3 Garden-Texture buildings to do, 3 bridges I'm in the process of repairing, and the inside storage yard on the burner..............maybe if they create a 28 hour day, I'll get to'em.......wink

But I do enjoy watching you guys progress and results.......wink

Re: Well.......since everyone else is building a boxcar.......

Right at 25" long.....making a 28 foot car.   Started in on roofing yesterday, cut some carlines to support the roof, and keep it from sagging in the middle.

I fit the sub roof which was a rather thick 1/4 luan (parts of this car started out intending to be a standard wooden car) which was then covered with .040 styrene....

My adhesive of choice is Lawn and Garden GOOP, comes in the green tube where groovy adhesives are sold.    Warren I use a mini belt sander made by Microlux, I'm sure Bruce will concurr with just how valuable this tool really is!
